Companies with specialist hygienic fabrications requirements
Hygienic Fabrication examples:
Many of our clients in the Food and Pharmaceutical industries specify hygienic fabrications for key elements of their work. We specialise in this service, with engineers certified accordingly, to deliver components designed & fabricated, where possible, to have fluid run off / drainage points – using a fully welded process to eliminate product entrapment and bacterial growth.
Typical applications for hygienic fabrication include:
- Feed hoppers
- Drain tables
The fabrication specs.
The hygienic fabrications we produce, including any hygienic welding, meet the three basic philosophies of hygienic plant:
- Product must flow through the plant and not stagnate
- The fabricated component must be cleanable and allow the destruction of microorganisms
- The contents of the plant must be protected from the external environment
We are careful to avoid any component having
- crevices which could retain product and/or limit flow
- rough or dead areas which make cleaning difficult or impossible
About this Process
This isn’t a process which many fabricators are able or willing to perform. It takes longer to fabricate a hygienic component than one which doesn’t have the same spec requirements and the skills necessary are not generally found on the training programs of ‘standard’ fabricators.
